1233 Old Northern Rd in Middle Dural sold for $5.05m.

A palatial estate in Sydney’s northwest has sold prior to auction for $1 million above the reserve due to a late night bidding war between two parties, including a family with 16 kids.

The house known as La Casona, Spanish for “big house”, was due to go to auction this weekend and the vendors had already supplied agent Will Hampson of Lumby Hampson a $4 million reserve.

The 13-bedroom house in Middle Dural instead sold Monday night for $5.05 million after multiple parties submitted pre-auction offers well above the vendor’s price expectations.
